POSITIONS

Common Position Openings Include:

Quality Department

  1. Tests, Inspects and Repairs materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods according to priorities set by the Scheduling & Production.
  2. Records quantity of assemblies inspected and records quantity of failures and defects.
  3. Interprets and follows supplied catalogs, drawings, standard operating procedures, instructions, and work orders (B.O.M.s), etc.
  4. Confers with the Quality Manager & Maintenance personnel on substandard equipment performance and follows Canfield Industries’ personnel and quality policies and procedures.
  5. Operates the following test equipment and machinery: various meters, gauges, power supplies, test fixtures, Hypot, microscope, soldering & desoldering workstations, sprinter, and computer.

Wire Department

  1. Reads make sheets, picking lists and schematics and receives verbal or written instructions from Production management or QC Leader.
  2. Sets up runs of Customer Orders and Batches for machine and hand processes as required. Clean Wire equipment, machines, and accessories according to instructions.
  3. Sets up Wire processing machines to specifications as specified on the job BOM or to pre-determined general specifications in machine instruction manual if not specified on the job BOM.
  4. Follows standard inspection AQL routines.
  5. Logs orders to keep track of run and coordinates with other Departments, QC, Production Manager, and Engineering to resolve any discrepancies. Assist with counting and inventory adjustments.

Soldering

  1. Reads makesheets (B.O.M’s), picking lists and schematics and receives verbal or written instructions from production management.
  2. Stuffing Pcb`s / connectors, Housing inserts with or without wire
  3. Knowing different inserts, houses, wires screws, sub-assemblies, grounds, gaskets, stickers etc.
  4. Knowing polarity of components. Checking components to make sheet (proper values etc.)

Machine Operator

  1. Reads makesheets (B.O.M’s), picking lists and schematics and receives verbal or written instructions from production management.
  2. Programs and operates both vertical and horizontal molding machines.
  3. Follows standard operating procedure for molding machine maintenance.
  4. Follows standard operating procedure for tool maintenance.
